To qualify for rating you must:
-18 years of age, or older
- 500 ram air jump minimum
-At least threes in the sport of skydiving
- Hold a UPSA D-license or foreign equivalent
- Hold a valid FAA Class III medical certificate, foreign equivalent, or HALO physical
THE COURSE
The Tandem rating course will take 3-4 days (weather permitting). The course consists of one/ two days of classroom, 10 evaluation jumps and a written exam. The class starts with verification of the requirements. The Vector and Sigma Tandem Manual's are the course books. I strongly recommend to purchase this manual from the United Parachute Technologies prior to the course or download it from their website (www.uptvector.com). The questions for the written tests are there and there is a study guide online. These are open book tests and can be done at home prior to the course.
You need to bring copies of:
A driver's license (age verification
Logbook with 500 documented jumps
USPA membership card with D-license and instructional rating endorsement
SIGMA ENDORSEMENT
To get the Sigma endorsement you need to take an additional written test.
COURSE FEES
The course fee is 18 000 krones for the training. This cost includes the ground instruction, and the examiner fee for the evaluation jumps.
Our Tandem equipment may be rented at 800 Krones per jump or you may use drop zone specific equipment. You will still be responsible for the jump tickets (20 slots). United Parachute Technologies charges $25 rating fee for Vector and an additional $10 for the Sigma endorsement.

If you already possess a current tandem rating from another manufacturer you can get crossed-over to the Vector/Sigma rating.
To qualify for cross-training you must:
Hold a current tandem instructor rating from another manufacturer
Show proof of at least 25 jumps on this system
Meet all the requirements for the initial UPT rating
You need to bring copies of:
Current tandem rating
Proof of 25 tandem jumps
USPA membership card with D-license number and instructional rating endorsement or foreign equivalent
Valid FAA Class III medical certificate or foreign equivalent, or HALO physical
The course consists out of a classroom portion and a minimum of 2 examination jumps. I recommend getting the system Tandem manuals from the UPT prior to the course. Cross-over candidates must also take the open book written exams.
COURSE FEES
The course fee is 2500 Krones and includes the Sigma endorsement. This cost covers the instruction ,the examiners fee for the evaluation jumps and the use of the tandem equipment
You will still be responsible for the jumptickets (4 slots)., the tandem rent is 800 Krones per jump.
The UPT charges $25 rating fee and an additional $10 for the Sigma endorsement.
